Ski Dubai is an indoor ski resort with 22,500 square metres of indoor ski area and is the world’s third largest indoor ski slope and the first to open in the Middle East. It is a part of the Mall of the Emirates, one of the largest shopping malls in the world, located in Dubai, United Arab Emirates. It was developed by Majid Al Futtaim Properties, which also operates the Mall of the Emirates.
At the Snow Park you won’t meet boredom; go crazy in the tobogganing hills, or in a twin track bobsled ride. Also, a snowball throwing gallery and a snow cavern filled with interactive experiences and amazing sights and sounds await you for an unforgettable journey. A large observation tower offers a perfect view of the Ski Dubai main slope. With an amazing mountain-themed wintery setting, you can enjoy skiing, snowboarding, tobogganing, or just playing in the snow. Plus you can now meet and play with Ski Dubai’s newest residents; the Snow Penguins! Penguin encounters can be booked, allowing the public to interact directly with the penguins. The cost of full day access to the park for adults is 120 Dhs and 110 Dhs for children.
In 2007, Ski Dubai was awarded the Outstanding Achievement Award by the Themed Entertainment Association. Also, Ski Dubai was the location of a detour in the 10th leg of the reality game show The Amazing Race Asia on its first season. It also appeared as a detour in the 5th leg of the 15th season of the original American version.
