Watches have always been the center of fascination for mankind since times immemorial. They are not just pieces of equipment that we use today to tell the time and use to schedule our daily lives, they are symbols of power and status that help us in defining who we are and where we stand in society. For many years now, the brand of luxury watches has defined the society of rich and mighty, bestowing true class and might and separating the ones with true taste and potential.

Although luxury watches have become the statement of choice for many millionaires around the world, the race to own the most expensive watch on the planet is still an open one. The interest is not just one of curiosity or pride of owning a unique piece, it bestows identity and class upon the owner too. That brand of luxury has been blended with the unique precision and astounding innovation that is synonymous with Swiss watch makers in the recent creation of the Hublot Watch.

Created by Hublot and its long standing partner, Atelier Bunter in Geneva, this marvelous piece of creation is valued at a whopping 5 million dollars and displays all the telltale signs of characteristic Swiss watch making in keeping impeccable time and engineering precision. However, the most stunning thing about the watch is the fact that the watch comprises no less than 1282 diamonds. This is hence, the most expensive watch to ever have been designed by humankind and the only limitation in making this fabulous creation even more exotic is the lack of surface area of the watch which couldn’t support any more diamonds.

It took 17 people more than 14 months of hard work and toil to set more than 140 carats of diamonds on the watch’s white gold bracelet, which is itself invaluable. The 5 million dollar watch was unveiled at the world’s largest watch show in Basel.

Love the lights and glamour of everyhting that the rich of this world have to flaunt. There' something almost humurous about the antics of the ultra rich, and my posts here are an endeavor to share few smiles with you, of course, in the backdrop of extreme richness.

Got something to say? Go for it!
