Created for those with a diamantine sweet tooth in mind, Chef Marc Guibert’s fantastically extravagant dessert was in the shape of a Faberge Egg made of the finest dark chocolate from continental Europe, champagne, caviar, edible gold, and diamonds. Yes, you read that right: a two-carat diamond crowns the fabulous pudding, thus exponentially increasing the price tag to $35,000 or £22,000 and capturing the title of the World’s Most Expensive Dessert. Guibert’s work of culinary art comfortably beat the previous record set by Serendipity III of New York, with their ‘Frrozen Haute Chocolate’ that was priced at $12,000.
